Young Christians in Politics
We aim to inspire and equip young Christians to engage in politics in the most fruitful and compelling way possible. The project is led by a group of young Christians from different political parties and church traditions – people who gain life by encouraging and inspiring others to flourish.
We provide training, events and a forum where we can share experiences, opportunities to get involved and prayer requests, as well as supporting each other in our political journeys. And over the past few years we have seen our members volunteering, standing for election, engaging with the media, attending conferences, training and much more.

We have a vision to see young Christians with a desire for justice and righteousness serving their communities, engaging with the political debate and building relationships across the political divides.
How can young Christians become politically active in the most fruitful and compelling way possible?
In the end, nothing is a substitute for action. Constructive, transformative political engagement is ultimately about showing up, whether to talks, meetings or campaigns.
Getting Started
Meeting other Christians who have a heart for politics is central to the CiPol vision, and that is no different in University. We want to provide you with the resources and support to join a group of Christians at your university who are meeting to pray, discuss and engage with politics. If there isn’t a group locally we can help to give you the tools to host your own workshop and start a CiPol university group. See below for some useful resources for engaging in student politics and hosting your politics sessions.
If you have any questions or would like to discuss with a member of the team, contact us at: ycip@christiansinpolitics.org.uk.

What Next…?
Knowing what to do after university is difficult at the best of times, but can be downright daunting when confronted with a prospective career in politics and discerning how a Christian embarks on a political career. Fortunately there are a variety of wonderful organisations and programmes that exist to give Christians a start in the world of politics and policy rooted in an attitude of kingdom before tribe.
